The modern architecture of the Hanza Hotel has been skilfully blended into the surrounding Old City houses. The hotels stylish elevation hides the 7 suites, 17 single rooms and 36 double rooms providing accommodation for 120 persons. The standard of our rooms satisfies even the most demanding of Guests, while a restaurant, bar and fitness club, as well as conference rooms with high quality innovative equipment, are also placed at their disposal.
Construction of the Hotel Hanza was initiated in December 1995 and the hotel was opened during the Gdansks millennium celebrations – on 2nd May 1997. After archaeological research had been conducted, it turned out that there was a fortified wall within the construction area. Therefore the architects, Szczepan Baum and Andrzej Kwiecinski, proposed an original solution for the elevation of the Hanza Hotel, making reference to the historical buildings of the Old City in Gdansk. The solution was achieved and appreciated: in 1998 our hotel was granted an award by the Minister of Construction.We are pleased to have gained this official recognition, yet the appreciation of our regular Guests of the beauty and comfort of our hotel is for us most valuable of all.
The Hanza Hotel in Gdansk offers 17 high-standard single rooms with beautiful views over the Motlawa river or the Old City. Every room provides our Guests with the opportunity both for relaxation in cosy surroundings and for dealing effectively with a strenuous workload. The basic facilities include comfortable furniture, a satellite TV set, a telephone, air conditioning, a bathroom (with a bath or a shower) and a mini bar. On request we can also equip the room with a notebook with a WIFI wireless Internet connection.
The Hanza Hotel in Gdansk offers 36 high-standard double rooms with beautiful views over the Motlawa river or the Old City of Gdansk. The basic facilities include comfortable furniture, a satellite TV set, a telephone, air conditioning, a mini bar and a bathroom, the latter equipped with either a bath or a shower. Guests can also select the type of bed they require: either one double or two single beds. On request we are also able to provide a notebook with a WIFI wireless Internet connection. 140e
For demanding clients we are able to provide five cosy two-room Junior Apartments of 40 square metres each. Such an area enables the arrangement of a business meeting for several persons. Work is made easier by a spacious comfortable desk and a WIFI wireless Internet connection.After the work is done a Guest may relax in the bathroom with its spacious corner bath and underfloor heating, before slipping into a warm dressing gown and comfortable slippers and taking delight in the view from the window.
The Hanza Hotel in Gdansk has already accommodated celebrities, prime ministers and presidents. For the comfort of these most famous Guests we have prepared two Presidential Suites of 80 square metres each. These enable the harmonious coexistence of work and rest, the former perhaps including the preparation of official speeches. After the work is done a Guest may relax in the bathroom with its spacious corner bath and underfloor heating, before slipping into a warm hotel dressing gown and comfortable slippers and taking delight in the view from the window.
Every gourmet, whether from the Tri-City or elsewhere, will find something to satisfy their palate in the restaurant at the Hanza Hotel. Sumptuous meals of Polish and international cuisine are served in elegant style on the bank of the Motlawa river. As befits a coastal city, our restaurant specialises in fish dishes. Our chef offers in particular the proven favourite dishes of our Guests: lemon sole fillet with courgette fritters and Kashubian herring of two flavours.
On cold days the fireplace in our Cocktail Bar is a source of warmth, while on warm days it is a flame of kindness. The barmen at the Hanza Hotel bar do all they can to make our Guests feel well and enjoy surprising regular clients by being familiar with their tastes. Our bar serves excellent coffee, with many gourmets finding our exquisite cakes a good accompaniment; having had such a fine dessert a good aromatic cigar may follow.
The old town houses that surround the Hanza will add splendour to any business meeting or conference. At the same time the hotel provides a suitable base for such events, with a conference room that seats up to 70 people and all necessary equipment: Internet access (connection: DSL TP 1 Mbit/second 256kbit/second) with a wireless network, flipcharts and a foil projector with a screen; all other equipment may be provided on request. We are also able to provide a banquet hall for 12 to 24 people and a business apartment for between 6 and 8.
Team-building events are well- suited to the club room, which can accommodate up to 56 people; the club room has a dance floor, a bar and a small stage. Our offer also includes provision of coffee breaks (with coffee, tea, water, juice, croissants, cakes and nuts), lunch or supper. A menu may be established according to individual requirements.
The Hanza Hotel in Gdansk, despite its location in the city centre among places of historical interest and tourist attractions, is a wonderful place of rest for body and mind. In our fitness club you can find relaxing massages, a Finnish sauna and a Jacuzzi. Our hairdressing salon is run by a Polish Champion of men’s hairdressing and has gained recognition by both the inhabitants of Gdansk and visitors to the city.
